I turned two of them into bookshelves for my children (post coming soon!), which left with me with three more. I snagged all that the man had, and started brainstorming the many ways I wanted to use them. I found some wooden shelves at a yard sale a few weekends ago for a dollar a piece. I like pretty things, but the pretty things have to make sense. I’ve always wanted it to look pretty, but also be incredibly functional. My dishwashing station has always been my arch nemesis. ![]() ![]() I was always really nervous about my toddler helping load and unload the plates each day for fear he’d whack a fancy glass. I am super pleased with the way it looks, and the shelf liner keeps my dinnerware from sliding around on the shelf. My toddler agreed that it was “very pretty” and “a good idea,” so I thought, “Why not?” It sits near our dining room table, making it easy access when my toddler sets the table for dinner.īut it was sort of blah!
